Theater Eroika
Imagine if you will, five moveable wheels, with angled slots cut into them, sandwhiched between an outer shell with radial slots cut into it. By passing a rod through the radial slot, the five wheels would move independently about their axis depending on the angle on each wheel. Now imagine the outer shell containing a window through which you could see one of up to 24 panels printed on the wheels below which contained windows as well so that you could see the panels on the wheels behind them. And on top of all this, imagine the story told through the window was branching!

If your imagination hasn't given up yet, then you have just imagined "Theater Eroika" the only comic with moving parts. Originally, I planned to mass produce Theater Eroika and assemble them by hand. However each unit required 113 individual cuts. Earlier prototypes featured bars that slid along troughs. This gave way to wheels as they only had a single friction point. Friction between the wheels, however, proved to be too much of a problem and the project was finally scrapped.
