"Bus Stop" is my foray into the newspaper strip world. Newspaper strips are a limiting form to work in. Essentially, I get four panels a week stretched out over a year. How can this be an effective way to tell a narrative? It seems a lot of strips have given up on the idea of narrative and just used their space to set up and deliver a gag.

Well the strip as form has certain strengths as well as limitations. Real time developement, mass readership, audience interactivity, and the serial nature of the medium to name a few. Something I set out to do with Bus Stop was to start from scratch working within the strengths of the medium.

What I have ended up with is a comedy, a tragedy, a detective story and an alegory for the medium itself. "Bus Stop" is a very unique strip and it seems like a miracle that it can appear regularly in a major newspaper. Above are links to the complete run of the strip thus far. New strips will be added as they appear in the Examiner. Strips are categorized by month.
