Interactive Comics

If you think about it, the book is a pretty wierd (but efficient) way of storing information. Instead of being laid out in a continuous linear fashion, information is broken into roughly equal sized chunks. Then 50-70 of these chunks are printed onto these moveable flaps which all pile on top of one another.

What makes the interactive comics form challenging is presenting choices in visual terms. And then somehow containing it in this wierd structure we call a book. On a more philisophical note, one of my favorite activities in the world is wandering around by myself. Especially in a new city. Especially around 4:00 am when everyone is still sleeping. Ultimately, this wonderful feeling you get from wandering is what I hope to capture with my interactive comics.
